Burke, Thomas A. (Politician Ohio). Washington, D.C. Senator Thomas A. Burke (Democrat) Ohio, who succeeded the late Robert A. Taft, (Republican) Ohio, is shown as he told a news conference at the Capitol today that Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr., was guilty of "bad taste" in criticizing Ex-President Truman in the Harry Dexter White case. But he said he thought it was not fair for Truman to attack President Eisenhower for embracing "McCarthyism" as the Ex-Chief Executive had done in his nationwide speech this week.
