Description
Pollution - General (Water) (Oil Slick at New Haven). New Haven... eludes flotation booms that could only be applied after the tanker Esso Gettysburg was tied up here Saturday, after she struck bottom 2 1/2 miles away in New Haven Harbor. A slick 3 1/2 miles long escaped the booms and headed for Long Island Sound.
