1956 Press Photo House in rubble after Russian attacks in Budapest, Hungary

Hungary - General. Smashed during Russian attacks, workers dig into the rubble of this partially destroyed dwelling in Budapest. This picture, taken Saturday and received in London Sunday, is one of the first out of the Hungarian capital since the Soviet attack. Saturday, the puppet Hungarian government warned of a grim winter of suffering and chaos.
