Description
Great Britain - navy - World War II . . . Busy craft - British minesweepers are the busiest craft these days of the European war. Working in coveys, they take up positions around an area suspected of having mines hidden below the surface, as shown here. Then paravanes are put to work cutting cables which hold the mines in position, and sharpshooters cause mines to explode.

Photo is dated 1939.

Photo measures 9.75 x 8 inches.
