Truman, Harry S. (former president)(X) - New York - Harry S. Truman, former president of the United States, is welcomed to United Nations headquarters here today by Dag Hammarskjold, secretary-general of the UN, prior to taking a 35-minute tour of the buildings. Truman said he "wished all the success in the world" to the United Nations. On October 24, 1949 he dedicated the building site but never had seen the completed buildings
