United States Military Academy. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here are the famed "Black Knights" of the 1950 Army football squad as they appeared in Philadelphia's Municipal Stadium before the classic against Navy last year. Reports are that the mass discharges from the Military Academy for violations of the honor code will decimate the squad. From left in rear are; Gene Filipsky, Al Pollard, Jack Martin, Gil Stephenson, Frank Fischl, Jim Kane, Bob Blaik and Vic Pollock. Front (from left); John E. Weaver, Bruce Akerson, Jack Roberts, Ray Bara, Bob Haas, Bud Elmblad, Lou Zeigler and Dan Folberg. Some of these have been graduated, Weaver was reported to have telephoned his mother at Kingston, New York, this morning to tell her that he is not among the accused cadets. He is reported to have said that he was "about the only first stringer" not involved.
