Mount Kennedy. The rugged north face and icy pinnacle of Mount Kennedy in the Canadian Yukon near the Alaskan border was photographed recently by Bradford Washburn, director of Boston's Museum of Science. The remote 13,905 foot peak was named in honor of the late president by the Canadian government last year. It was first climbed last year by a joint National Geographic - Boston Museum of Science expedition and Washburn returned there this summer for detailed aerial photography.

Photo is dated 1966.
