With rationing of meat scheduled to start on Monday, Orleanians locked up today for the last time. The Prytania Public market, Prytania, and Upperline, was jammed with meat-shoppers this morning, as were many other markets in the city. Next week shoppers may purchase meat only on presentation of the red ration stamps.
