1961 Press Photo New currency issued by Prime Minister Fidel Castro's government

Refugees from Cuba arriving at Miami International Airport today carried with them the new currency issued this week by Prime Minister Fidel Castro's government. The one peso note depicts Castro's triumphant entry into Havana January 8, 1959, after the overthrow of the Batista regime. The 20 peso note shows Castro's men in a landing December 2, 1956.
