Armstrong Tire & Rubber Company makes 6,000 tires and 6,000 tubes a day. They opened in October 1939 and employ 1,000 with a $4 million dollar payroll annually. They are the first industry in Mississippi under BAWI. Pictured is the end of the line, scraping off rubber tips from the molds.
