A check for $100 is accepted by Nolan Orgeron chairman of the Clarence J. Arceneaux Jr. Heart Fund, from deputy sheriff Cy Ernst who, as president, makes the presentation on behalf of the Jefferson Parish Peace Officers Association. The fund's goal is to collect $3000 to send 14-year-old Clarence J. Arceneaux Jr. to the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. His life depends on immediate treatment for a heart ailment. Orgeron said over $400 has been received thus far.
