Joseph P. Kennedy, the father of the late President, died Tuesday at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusets. The 81-year-old patriarch of the Kennedy clan and father of U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy, been partially paralyzed since suffering a stroke in December 1961.
