A $3 million expansion project in process on the Marrero plant. Construction work is moving rapidly on this $3 million expansion project of the Marrero plant, formerly Jefferson parish Waterworks District Number 9. At right is the new administration building. In the center is the new filtration plant. In the left background is the new 5,000,000-gallon surface storage tank. The plant, scheduled for completion in early spring, will boost the capacity from its present 4.5 million gallons to 10 million gallons of water per day.
