Back in circulation - Lieutenant Richard Mackin, U.S. Army pilot released from Communist East Germany today, leaves the Herleshausen border station with escorting officer Colonel William Potts. Mackin, of Washington, D.C., had been held in East Germany since he was forced to parachute from his small plane December 3 after losing his way and running out of gas.

Photo is dated 1959.
