Pick MacIntyre new Eastern Air Lines head Malcolm A. MacIntyre, who resigned this past July as undersecretary of the U.S. Air Force, has been elected president and chief executive officer of Eastern Air Lines effective October 1. MacIntyre succeeds both Captain Eddie Rickenbacker, chief executive officer of the company since its organization in 1938, and Thomas F. Armstrong, Eastern's president since 1953.
