Colonel William S. McCormick, a veteran of 18 years in the Marines, has been named the director of the Eighth Marine Corps Reserve District. His headquarters are in the Customhouse. Colonel McCormick fought in the Pacific in World War II. He is from Laurel, Mississippi.
