Sister Elizabeth Kenney, known for her infantile paralysis cure. Sister Elizabeth Kenny, famous for her discovery of a cure for infantile paralysis, will speak twice on this subject at the annual meeting of the New Orleans Medical Assembly. Sister Elizabeth Kenny was buried today near her mother's grave in the tiny cemetery of the small farming settlement of Nobby, about 12 miles from her toowoomba home. The famed poliomyelitis specialist died after a 10-day siege of cerebral thrombosis and pneumonia which kept her partially paralyzed and in a coma during her last days. She was 66.

Photo is dated 1943.

Photo measures 6.5 x 8.5 inches.
