1949 Press Photo St. Claude 'Bottleneck' at Industrial Canal bridge

The St. Claude 'Bottleneck' at the Industrial Canal bridge will be partially relieved with completion of the street-widening project. Center span will be open to vehicular traffic after formal dedication ceremonies at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The center span was formerly used by streetcars. These have been replaced by busses. Workman put finishing touches on the project Friday.
