1956 Press Photo Leonard Jefferson presents ROSCOE award to Florence O'Neill

A number of the winners in the annual Item ROSCOE Awards contest have collected their prize trophies. Object of the contest was to see who could name the most winners of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Oscars. During the contest, the ROSCOES were displayed in eight New Orleans stores. They were Alexander's Quality Furniture and Appliances, Atlas Sewing Center, Inc., Gulf Furniture Co., Inc., Jefferson Plumbing and Appliances. Kaufman's Department Store, Leslie's Appliances, Inc., Schwab Music House, and Southern Chinchillas, Inc., Here are some of the winners receiving their ROSCOES from store officials.
