4/1 Washington: A blind veteran, John F. Brady (right) drew praise from members of the Senate Armed Services Committee today for his statement endorsing both the draft and universal military training. He said 90 percent of the Blinded Veterans Association, of which he is president, favors universal training because basic training is essential, and next time we may not have time to acquire it. Here he chats with Senator Chan Gurney (Republican-South Dakota), chairman of the committee.
