1954 Press Photo Actress June Hammerstein, Waitress in "Tender Heart" movie

The first Cinderella of Hollywood for 1954 turned out to be a gal as a waitress at a Hollywood restaurant. June Hammerstein, cousin of composer not too long ago bluntly asked a director having lunch at the restaurant if she could work for him. The startled director didn't answer her but later told her and told her she had the leading part in his next picture "Tender Heart." She got the part of a waitress.
