"A very fair agreement for both sides" is signed Wednesday by representatives of New Orleans longshoremen and an official of the New Orleans Steamship Association. From left are Alfred F. Chittenden, president of Local 1418; George Griswold, chairman of the steamship association's labor committee, and Charles Henry, president of Local 1419. The three-year contract was described as "very fair" by Griswold. Chittenden and Henry termed the agreement "the finest contract in the whole industry."
