1951 Press Photo Sergeant Frank A. Golemi presented Purple Heart by Captain

Sgt. Frank A. Golemi, USMC, 24, was presented the Purple Heart by Captain J.N.C. Gordon MC USN during recent ceremonies at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Oakland, California. Sergeant Golemi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Golemi, 2948 Grand Route, St. John, New Orleans, Louisiana, suffered gunshot wounds while serving with the 1st Marine Division near Hangson, Korea. Immediately prior to his being wounded he had been engaged in an action to liberate prisoners of the Chinese Reds.
