Remembered by former presidents - Associated Press photographer Henry Griffin, a legend at the White House where he has been covering the activities of the presidents since 1945, has been cheered by old friends, including former presidents Truman and Eisenhower when he entered a hospital in Washington for throat surgery resulting from cancer. At left he talks to former president Truman in a Chicago hotel corridor during the 1956 Democratic convention. At right he walks with former president Eisenhower during a visit to the latter's country retreat in 1954.

Photo is dated 1963.
