1970 Press Photo Gibby Gilbert urges his ball at Houston Champions 18th green

Gibby Gilbert, a club pro from Florida, as he urges his ball along on the 18th green today at the $115,000 Houston Champions International. Gilbert made the bird and caught the leader Bruce Cramption and forced a sudden death playoff. Gilbert won the first place money of $23,000 on the third play of the playoff.
