1973 Press Photo Astronaut Garriott manning telescope console of Skylab 2

Astronaut Owen K. Garriott, science-pilot of the Skylab 2 mission, is shown at the Apollo Telescope Mount console in the Multiple Docking Adapter of the Skylab. In orbit the Multiple Docking Adapter functions as a major experiment control center for solar observations and the astronauts actively control the ATM solar physics telescopes.
