Carmencita Franco, daughter of the Chief of State of Spain, Generalissimo Francisco Franco, is shown seated with her fiancee , Dr. Cristobal Martinez Y. Bordie, Marquess of Villverde, before a picture of Senorita Franco's mother, in the Pardo Palace after their engagement was announced at a party on December 17. The titled surgeon is 27, the son of Count Argillo. The couple exchanged gifts. The Marquess gave his fiancee a diamond-studded platinum bracelet and received a gold watch and gold cigarette case. They will probably be wed early in 1950.
