It's almost a Sigmund Engel day here (9/23) as the aged Romeo appears in four courts. A federal judge is hearing a habeas corpus petition to free Engel on grounds his constitutional rights have been violated. A felony court judge will rule on having bond lowered from 34,000 to $13,000. A superior judge will decide what to do with $7,400 found in Engel's shorts. A criminal court judge will rule on whether the state can give Engel the sanity test. The busy man finds time, however, to embrace Mrs. Paulina Langton, of New York City, said to be his one and only wife.
