St. Louis, December 5 - League makes proposal - Joe Cronin, American League president, points with his glasses as he holds press conference following meeting of team owners at St. Louis tonight. Seated next to Cronin is Del Webb, co-owner of the New York Yankees. Cronin announced that his league has proposed that National League take in New York as ninth team and play inter-schedule in 1961 with the New York Yankee blessing.
