Businessman - Donaldson Brown, a director of the Gulf Oil Corporation since 1946, graduated from Virginia Polytechnical Institute in 1902, and after graduate study at Cornell University began his business career in 1903 in the electrical department of the Baltimore & Oil Railroad. He subsequently served as general manager of the Baltimore sales office for the Sprague Electric Company; in the sales department of the E.I. duPont de Nemours & Company; general manager's office, duPont, and assistant treasurer and director of duPont.
