"Nashville" - Timothy Brown (seated left), a top country singer accused by some as being "the whitest nigger in town" chats with journalist Geraldine Chaplin in "Nashville," a Jerry Weintraub production of a Robert Altman film. "Nashville," a Paramount Pictures release, is the explosive drama and human comedy that interweaves the lives of 24 major characters whose destinies are altered forever during five days in the country-music capital of the world. The ABC Entertainment presentation, produced and directed by Robert Altman, was written by Joan Tewkesbury. "Nashville" stars David Arkin, Barbara Baxley, Ned Beatty, Karen Black, Ronee Blakley, Timothy Brown, Keith Carradine, Geraldine Chaplin, Robert Doqui, Shelley Duvall, Allen Garfield, Henry Gibson, Scott Glenn, Jeff Goldblum, Barbara Harris, David Hayward, Michael Murphy, Allan Nicholls, Dave Peel, Cristina Raines, Bert Remsen, Lily Tomlin, Gwen Welles and Keenan Wynn. Executive producers are Martin Starger and Jerry Weintraub. The music is arranged and supervised by Richard Baskin. Paul Lohmann was director of photography.
