1971 Press Photo Gene Autrey opens mail at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear center

Gene Autrey, one time singing cowboy star, now owner of the California Angels baseball club and business man, opens mail in his room at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. He is recuperating from surgery performed to correct a detached retina in his left eye. He and his doctors say he is doing well.
