1959 Press Photo Hurricane Debra- The Jack Martin's with sons Bob and Dugan

Hurricane Debra-The Jack Martins flanked by their two sons, Bob, 17, and Dugan, 15, show how they fixed a chain about a rafter to keep Hurricane Debra from taking it. Bebra's howling winds were catching the corner of the roof and the added weight prevented their home from being swept away. This was the third Hurricane the Martins had ridden out in their eight years on the beach.
