1954 Press Photo Mardi Gras Carnival, reviewing stands at City Hall for parades

Carnival parades will be rolling along St. Charles Ave. in less than three weeks now, and workmen are already busy setting up the reviewing stands at City Hall. First of the traditional route will be that of the Krewe of Orion Feb. 23, followed by Babylon Feb. 24, Monus Feb. 25, Hermes, Feb. 26, Adonis Feb. 27, Venus and Mid-City, both daytime Feb. 28, Proteus March 1 and finally Rex in the morning and Comus in the evening of Tuesday, March 2, Mardi Gras.
