Scene of pedestrian fatality at Napoleon Ave. and S. Claiborne. An elderly woman and a 16-year-old boy were killed today in two separate traffic accidents. Killed were: Mrs. Henry A. Roemer Jr., 4314 S. Rochebleave. Dale R. Raymond, 4656 Baccich. Mrs. Roemer was killed when she was struck by a car as she crossed Napoleon ave. at the Claiborne intersection about 11 a.m. New Orleans The driver of the car was Mrs. Beulah Hooper, 26, Negro, 221.5 Lowerline. Ptn. James B. McConnell said Mrs. Hooper's car went out of control and swerved through the bus parking area on Claiborne, jumped a curb and hit the victim in the uptown lane of Napoleon. Ptn. McConnell said the district attorney's office would be consulted on possible charges against Mrs. Hooper. Mrs. Hooper to police her brakes. failed.
