A group of well-wishers stands outside Red Cross hospital in Lisbon today, where former Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Salazar is in grave condition. The candle they brought with them to show their support reads "Viva Salazar." A medical bulletin from the hospital said that Salazar's cardio-circulatory system was just barely keeping him alive. Salazar suffered a stroke and brain hemorrhage.

Photo is dated 1968.

Photo measures 8 x 9.75 inches.
