Vientiane, Laos, January 21 - Outraces North Vietnamese pursuers - James Wallace Russell, a pilot for Air America, a private charter firm, is accompanied by his son James Jr., 3, as he speaks with newsmen in Vientiane Friday. Russell's plane was destroyed on the ground by enemy mortar fire Thursday and he outraced his North Vietnamese pursuers for two miles in the jungles of northern Laos before being plucked to safety by a helicopter. Russell, from Odessa, Texas, suffered only a scratched arm in the ordeal.
