1970 Press Photo Senator Richard Russell arrives at Capitol to cast vote

Senator Richard B. Russell, D-GA, gets out of his car at the Capitol today after arriving to cast his vote on the motion to send the nomination of Judge G. Harrold Carswell back to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Russell, who had been hospitalized, voted against the recommittal. The motion was defeated, 52 to 44.
