Zenon Rossides, Cypriot permanent representative to the United Nations, tells special session of the United Nations Security Council tonight that his government has received from Turkey "one of the most serious threats of invasion..." Secretary-General U Thant told the emergency meeting that a United Nations advance peace party of Canadian troops is on its way to Cyprus by plane and added that he has asked Turkey to show restraint.
