1961 Press Photo Rioting at Portugal's United States Embassy in Lisbon

Carried on shoulders of fellow demonstrator, Black demonstrator carrying Portuguese flag shouts as he goes past broken windows of library at the United States Embassy in Lisbon tonight. At right is a uniformed Portuguese. Incident was part of demonstration by mob of nearly 20,000 persons which stoned the embassy in protest against United States policy on African Angola.
