1970 Press Photo Alfred Recor and wife arrested in slaying of teenage girl

Alfred Recor, shown shortly after his arrest in the slaying of a teenage girl, was one of four men who fled the Hamilton County Jail at Chattanooga Thursday. Recor who had been sent to Chattanooga for hearing on an appeal, which was denied. Officers said they had received no order to return him to Nashville. Mrs. Recor was tried separately and also convicted in the case.
