1974 Press Photo Dixie Lee Ray and Ahmad Ismail sign uranium contract at Capitol

Atomic Energy Commission Chairman Dr. Dixie Lee Ray, right, and Ahmad Sultan Ismail, Egypt's Minister of Electric Power, sign an agreement in Washington Wednesday calling for the enrichment of uranium for use as a fuel in nuclear power plants. Israel signed their copy of the contract returning it to Dr. Ray to complete the three nation contract. Dixon B. Hoyle, assistant director for supply and market policy in the AEC's division of international programs, watches the signing.
