Jane Muskie, wife of Democratic presidential hopeful Senator Edmund Muskie of Maine, sample the frosting on her birthday cake shaped like the White House Friday night at a party held at Muskie campaign headquarters in Washington. During the celebration of her 45th birthday Mrs. Muskie said that for next year, Ed had promised her the Rose Garden at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
