1963 Press Photo Mrs. John Profumo appears at Dymchurch research center ceremony

Mrs. John Profumo, wife of the former British war secretary who was driven from office by the current sex and security scandal, makes her first public appearance since his resignation yesterday at ceremonies opening a home and research center for mentally handicapped children at Dymchurch, Kent. Formerly actress Valerie Hobson, she was cheered by about 250 persons. She long been active in the national society aiding handicapped children.
