Dr. Michael Ramsey, the Archbishop of Canterbury, gestures at news conference in London's Lambeth Palace Wednesday at which he denounced South Africa's racial segregation. He asserted only considerable change in that country will avert widespread violence. It was the Anglican primate's first major declaration since returning Monday from a 20-day tour of South Africa.
