Willard Whitfield presents bowl to Hiroshi Nakahama, Tokyo. Willard D. Whitfield, left, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, presents silver bowl to Hiroshi Nakahama at a Tokyo hotel Thursday after Whitfield's arrival on an invitation from the Japanese prime minister's office to meet Japanese descendants of a fishing crew rescued by Whitfield's great grandfather in the Pacific 135 years ago. Nakahama, a great grandson of one of the five rescued fisherman, was on hand Monday to welcome Whitfield to Nakanohama in Southwestern Japan where Nakahama's great grandfather was born.
