1966 Press Photo Red River Bridge piers built during Davis administration in LA

The handsome strip of highway curving through land owned by former Governor Jimmie H. Davis may lead to a bridge in another year or so instead of ending at a Red River Beach. The seven-tenths of a mile of highway, jutting off of U.S. 71, was built during the Davis administration--along with four piers for a Red River Bridge.
