President Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt tells a cheering May Day rally in Cairo that Egypt has destroyed more than 60 percent of Israeli fortifications along the eastern Suez Canal bank. He attributed the destruction to the work of Egyptian artillery and commando raids.
