Engineers at Cape Canaveral make a last minute checkout of the Saturn super-booster rocket before the first launch of the 160-foot high space rocket. The foil wrapped bell shaped object at right is one of the flame nozzles from one of the eight giant engines. The first flight is intended to send Saturn 225 miles down the Atlantic Missile Range, reaching an altitude of 90 miles.
