1961 Press Photo Shrouded Saturn begins journey across Redstone Arsenal to barge

Wrapped in nylon cover, the first Saturn rocket booster begins a slow, 6-mile trip last night across Redstone Arsenal to a waiting barge that carried it down the Tennessee River to Wheeler Dam. Built by Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, the giant vehicle is to be shipped from Wheeler to Cape Canaveral, Florida, and flight tested later this year.
